The Meaning of Marriage
Sundays, January 16 – March 3
the Meaning of Marriage
Perhaps you’re unmarried and want to set some Godly expectations for what your marriage will be like someday?
Perhaps you’re planning to get married sometime in the relatively near future and want to prepare?
Perhaps your marriage is doing well and you want to build on it? Or, perhaps there are areas you’d like to work on?
This study will help you no matter your circumstances because everything is taught from the perspective of the Scriptures.
What is it?
Pastor Van Kampen will facilitate this study, using the best-selling book, “The Meaning of Marriage” by Timothy Keller. Participants will purchase a copy of the book (available in print, kindle, or audiobook) and read one chapter a week then gather during the Family Bible Hour on Sundays to discuss it.
This study will help you to shape Godly expectations and patterns for your own marriage whether you are married now or hope to be someday and equip you to better guide others in their marriages to the wisdom of God’s Word. You’ll grow in your understanding of the Scriptures and learn from one another’s insights about marriage.
Each section includes personal and group discussion based on the week’s reading. For those who are married, there are “Marriage Enrichment Activities” to be done at home which will help to bring the truths discussed into your life.
