Scott is a 1988 graduate of Northwestern Preparatory School in Watertown, WI (now known as Luther Prep). After graduating from Dr. Martin Luther College in 1992, he was assigned to teach grades 3-5 in Yakima, Washington. After 4 years in Yakima, he received a Call to teach in Westminster, Colorado where he taught, in various combinations, grades 3-8. He spent the last 16 years teaching grades 5-6 at Zion Lutheran School in Hartland, Wisconsin while also serving as Athletic Director and coach for volleyball, basketball, softball, and track. He received his current Call here to St. Paul in May of 2018 and is honored to be teaching here in Tomah.

Scott was also privileged to serve his last conference as Treasurer of the Lutheran Athletic Association for the Milwaukee Metro Area and as a member of the LAA Athletic Supervisory Board.
